Fyti - Phiti - Phyti - Foiti - Φυτη
A visit to Fyti is highly recommended. This little village high on the hills above Paphos is inviting and the villagers very friendly. In the square is a wonderful taverna where you can get light refreshments, a cold beer or an excellent meal. Across the village square is the memorial gardens awash with a magnificent display of flowers, with the  museum  adjacent   you can see the type of  traditional weaving in operation unique to this village. The weaving is done making  geometrical patterns , each design is representative of some activity. You can see a fully operational spinning wheel in action. There is also a good display of traditional clothing, farming tools and donkey equipment. The museum is run by volunteers, very proud of their village and it's traditions, at the back of the museum is a small jar for donations.
