Paphos did not have a motorway
link until 2001. It is now accessed through the A6
which connects Paphos with Limassol. It is expected that by
2013 the new A7
towards Polis will be completed so that the suburbs will get a
traffic breath.
Car hire is available on almost any town in Cyprus, but why
not pre book your car and have it waiting for you at the
airport. |

Buses
& Taxies
Buses and taxis make an ideal way to see Cyprus |
|
Transurban
buses:
Interurban services are
regular and cheap but tend to be slow and to take roundabout
routes.
Various Bus companies link all major towns with daily
routes at specified intervals
Urban Buses:
These operate frequently
during daytime and in certain tourist areas.
During the summer season, their timetables are extended till
midnight.
Rural Buses:
Almost all
villages are connected with the nearest town by local buses.
Bus operation is limited to once or twice a day. Regional bus
companies provide more routes.
